South Asian Institute of Rural and Agricultural Management (SAIRAM) is an institute run by a non profit company South Asian Rural and Agricultural Management Foundation (SARAM). SARAM is registered with the Registrar of Companies, Shilong as a Section 8 company under The Companies Act, 2013.
The South Asian Institute of Rural and Agricultural Management was founded with the belief that the key to development of nation and world is the development of rural masses. Today, equitable development of the globe calls for fulfilling the unmet need of the rural masses, by providing with the best technology, methods and practices in the suitable hoslistic manner. This demands widespread exposure to knowledge, technology, best management pratices and professional skills and experience. The institute is commited in addressing this entire requirement in each pursuit.

To conduct various types of courses on Agriculture, Horticulture, Management and to offer short-term programmes in various fields of Management, Rural Sector Management, Entrepreneurship Development, Excutive Development Programmes, Foreign Language studies, Short Term Skill Development Courses in Agriiculture and allied areas including Micro Propagation and many more.
To prepare competent hands for careers in teaching, research and consultancy in Agriculture, Horticulture, Management and many more areas.
To organize coures, seminars, workshops and research programmes in specialized areas in collaboration with industrial, commercial, educational and other Institutions.
To provide consultancy service to different organizations and also to conduct need-based training programmes for the executives and rural masses.
To promote entrepreneurial climate in the N.E. Region by taking up preparation of project - feasilbilty reports and liasion between the entrepreneurs and financing institutions, and also with the farmers and rural people.
To establish linkages between the academia, industry, business houses and common people.
To collaborate with professional, teaching and training institutes in India and abroad, particularly countries of East and South East Asia for the development od Agriculture and its allied areas, Management education, research extension activities, technology transfer, language expertise etc.

Holistic growth and development of our state and nation keeping in mind the global developments and change. It demands the need for building and hand holding our mass population in the rural and Agricultural Sector (as of now 70% of our population are in this sector).
